FAQ

✪ Most Frequently Asked Questions ✪

How much do you charge?

The fee varies depending on a lot of factors including venue location, date, access to venue and how much equipment is required so every quote is accurate to your event. I charge a fee which is fair and representative of my experience, equipment provided and the quality of event I can deliver. I am unlikely to be the cheapest quote you will receive but I do guarantee to give you the best night I possibly can and I am pleased to say that previous clients overwhelmingly agree that I offer great value for money which I feel is more important than the cheapest price. I approach every event with the aim to have each guest leave thinking they have had the night of their lives and I am the best DJ that have ever heard.

Do you provide all equipment?

Yes, I have a wide range of high end sound and computer controlled lighting systems (plus other cool stuff like indoor fireworks, Confetti Cannons and CO2 guns!) to suit most venues so you don't need to provide anything.

Have you played at my venue before?

I have been DJing at Weddings, events and parties for a long time and average between 120-150 events per year so there is a good chance i have already been at your venue and may even have some footage from there. I do have an extensive list on this site but this doesn't include all venues I have visited. If you would like to know just ask.

Do you provide a contract? Do you need a retainer payment?

All bookings are secured with a signed contract and initial payment to confirm your date. No date is reserved until both of those are received. Contracts are sent online for digital signature and payments can be made by BACS, Paypal, Card or Cheque so the booking process is quick and simple. The balance is due between 2-4 weeks prior to your event.

Can we come and see you play or have a chat before we book?

I love chatting with couples and answering any questions before they book. Infact I highly recommend this step. Meetings can take place over the phone, online or in person.

Unfortunately as all my events are private events I cannot invite prospective clients to come and see me. At any event, I am 100% focused on giving my couples and their guests the best night possible and I don't think it would be fair on them for me to have strangers come along.

How do we know if you are any good?

Good question! I always say that you should never just listen to what any supplier says. You should really see what the couples and people who have booked in the past think because they were at one point in the same position as you are. I am pleased to say that I have independently verified 5 star ratings across a number of platforms including Google, Facebook, A2E and NAD to name a few. Plus I have been nominated and won several awards for DJing over the years, including for DJ of the year and excellence in Customer Service. You can also view videos from most of my events to see energetic, packed dancefloors week in and week out.

What music do you play?
Do you take requests? Can you properly DJ?

I play a massive range of music and it can change entirely from one night to the next depending on the crowd. I am more than happy to take requests before any event , infact anyone how books receives a planner to allow them to submit requests beforehand.

The music I play on any given night consists of requests given by the booker before hand, requests on the evening and my experience in reading the crowd and knowing what guests will respond to.

I can mix/DJ to a high level and don't just play one track after another like an autoplay. I worked as a professional guitarist for many years so interpreting music and crowd reaction comes second nature to me and I like to take audiences on a journey where everyone is in sync and there is constantly musical and transitional surprises thrown in to keep your guests entertained and guessing.

Can you pencil a date in for us?

Unfortunately I get so many enquiries each year that I cannot hold dates. Bookings/dates are only secured with receipt of a signed contract and the securing payment which is deducted from your balance to keep it fair for everyone.

What happens if you are ill/cancel?

In the extremely unlikely event that I cannot fulfil a booking I have a network of other highly experienced and rated DJs who can step in. If time permits, you would be put in touch with said DJ to check you are happy for them to step in. If you didn't want them to fill in, you would receive a refund of any money paid and be free to source your own replacement. If you are happy for the fill in DJ, all your info and file is passed to them and they pick up the booking seamlessly. I also carry back up equipment to events and have access to several vehicles. Any possible disruption is planned for.

How do we book?

Get intouch via email, social media or call and I can get the ball rolling. I require just a few pieces of information to draw up your electronic contract which will be sent through to your email address.

How long do you take to setup?
When will you arrive?

Setup takes 30-45 mins on average from when I gain access to the setup area. This may be slightly longer if you book additional add ons.

I aim to arrive atleast 90 minutes before my scheduled start time which gives me plenty of time.

Do you have PLI and PAT?

Yes, I have £10,000,000 Public Liability Insurance coverage and equipment is regularly PAT tested to ensure safety.

Copies of these documents can be forwarded to your venue or co-ordinator if required.

Have you worked with anyone famous?

Yes, over the years I've entertained and worked with a number of celebrities ranging from J.K. Rowling, George Bowie, Alexander Armstrong, Jason Manford, the Still Game Cast, the Mrs Browns Boys cast plus a host of TV stars, Musicians, Politicians and Sports personalities to name a few.

If required, I am happy to sign a non disclosure agreement.

Is there anything you can do to give our night the WOW factor?

I have a host of items which can elevate any event including fluid moodlighting which interacts with the music and turns the entire room into a massive disco light, A Photobooth, Selfie Stand, Selfie Roamer, CO2 gun, Confetti Cannon and Indoor X Factor Cold Sparkle Fountains! More info about those can be found on this site.
